He is the winner of the 2012 Barnes & Noble Writers for Writers Award, and is listed on the 2011 International Crime Writing Hall of Fame. His first novel, Absolute Power, was published in 1996. It became an international bestseller, and was made into a movie that was directed by Clint Eastwood. The author has written twenty-six books till date, including three children’s novels. There are 110 million hard copies of his works in print, and 3 million ebooks have already been sold. Baldacci’s books have been sold in eighty countries, and have been translated to numerous languages. The writer and his wife have co-founded the philanthropic organization, Wish You Well Foundation. He lives with his family in Northern Virginia.
